Many people put up ads on classified ads that do not make any difference for them or their business. The two major things in free classified ads are title and ad description. Once you get these two things right you can be assured of a better and rewarding result.
Writing the ad title
The ad title is the major thing – the first group of words people will see when their browsing through free classified ads sites. The reason why your ad is not getting enough views is because it is not interesting. Remember there are thousands of other ads in your category all competing to promote similar things. For your title ad to attract people it must contain a statement or an action. For example if you want to sell your car, you can not just write ‘car for sale’, that’s not interesting at all. Besides there are hundreds of thousands of other titles written just like that. It is better you write ‘car with a custom built stereo system, FOR SALE’. The basic thing is to look for something special about your car and using it as a selling point.
Writing the description
It is possible for you to have a great title that leads to plenty of views, but still have no or little replies. The reason is, your title is attractive but your description is not worth reading or is too boring. The first thing you must understand in description writing is length. Your description must be short and precise, nobody wants to read your long note when they know that there are thousands of other options to read and compare. There are four basic elements that must be present in your description including attention, interest, desire and action.
Attention is extremely important because it helps to grab your audience. One very good and simple way to grab attention is to write a headline for your free classified ads. After gaining the attention of your audience, the next thing it to capture their interest. People get interested in things when they notice something special. Offer something special in the description, maybe a free stuff or discount. Then you need to cause a desire in them. It is the desire that makes them buy your products and services, so create desire by letting your audience know what the stand to benefit when they buy your product. And don’t forget to inspire them to take action. A call to action detail must contain contact information like phone number, email address, postal address or even ID to your social network profile.
Before you submit make sure you check for spelling and grammar error, include full pricing like recurring costs and hidden costs, provide multiple contact options and include a photo if available. Also ensure you avoid any form of irrelevant content, negative comparison of competitors and a lengthy talk. Remember you’re not writing a book, you’re only selling your stuffs.
